SAVE THE OCEAN

We can't be everywhere at once, but we can focus our efforts on our most beloved habitat: the ocean. Our ocean is suffering from the sins of humanity.

11 Million Metric Tons

enter the ocean annually, equivalent to dumpingtwo garbage trucks full of plastic every minute.

Overfishing and Unsustainable Fishing

In 2024, an estimated 37% of global fish stocks were overfished, which is three times higher than in 1970.

82.5% of 2019 landings were from biologically sustainable stocks.

Coral Bleaching & Ocean Acidification

14% of corals lost globally over the past decade.

Acidity of the ocean has increased by about25% since before the 1700s, a rate greater than any other time in the last 2 million years.

CONSEQUENCES ARE ALREADY VISIBLE TODAY

Remember a beautiful moment at the beach or in the ocean? Every one of these places is now struggling with its own increasingly evident problems.

Japan

Faces challenges with marine pollution from both land-based sources and shipping. The country is also impacted by the accumulation of plastic debris in the North Pacific.

New Zealand

Grapples with overfishing, bycatch, and marine pollution impacting its unique marine biodiversity, including endangered species like Hector's dolphins.

Australia

Its iconic Great Barrier Reef is severely threatened by coral bleaching events due to rising ocean temperatures, in addition to impacts from poor water quality and coastal development.
